ONE // Lowers the risk of Pre-Eclampsia
Pre-eclampsia is one of the top five causes of maternal deaths world wide, impacting more than 6.6 million women. This complication is typically characterized by protein in the urine, high blood pressure, and swelling. A daily walk of 3o minutes or more will assist pregnant women in maintaining a healthy weight and reducing cholesterol levels.
TWO // Induces sleep
You really don’t understand the importance of sleep until you’re pregnant- TRUST ME. I always struggle to find the perfect sleep position and often time find myself wide awake at the end of the night. After a quality walk, I can assure you that you’ll melt into the bed!
THREE // It’s free and relaxing
OK, what’s better than free?! I can literally walk anywhere and anytime without worrying about a gym schedule or having to watch a bunch of twig figures workout while I’m waddling around with my belly. Plus, my city has quite a few homey neighborhoods that emphasize the beauty of southern living. It feels amazing to step out, grab some fresh air, and clear my mind.
