Skin Care Routine

Ahhh skin care. The one area where I can have 1,000 products and STILL feel like I need more variety haha. Since becoming pregnant, I’ve had to take a minimalistic approach to my usually lengthy skin care routine. Here’s a short list of ingredients to avoid while pregnant.

With this in mind, I’ve found it best to make the transition to natural skin care products. This will assure me that I’m not putting anything on or in my body that could be potentially harmful. Anadolou Naturals is a brand that prides itself on selling Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Certified Organic, Nature Derived, Vegetarian, Vegan, sUstainably Sourced, Cruelty Free products. I’ve been using their skin care products since the beginning of my pregnancy and my skin thanks me! (Literally,I can hear it whispering thank you every time I complete this routine.)

Step One: Cleanse

The Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk is the thirst quencher that my dry skin needs! With additional help from my Clarisonic, the ingredients in this cleanser allow it to be extremely gentle while still getting the job done. Even after my days of heavy makeup, this cleanser removes it all and leaves my skin feeling clean but moisturized.

Step Two: Tone

The Derma E purifying toner mist is the ultimate reset for my skin after a long day. I just mist this all over my face 2-3 times and allow it to dry before moving on to the next step. This toner is heavy in minerals and antioxidants which promotes healthy skin hydration and the ultimate nourishment. Overall, this keeps my skin glowing and in perfect balance.

Step Three: Moisturize

During my morning routine I use the Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream to moisturize my skin. This moisturizer brightens my skin tone while treating the areas on my face that have texture.

During my night routine I use the Purple Carrot + C Luminous Night Cream. I’m not a fan of super thick night creams, but I still look for something that going to pack on the moisture while I sleep. The morning after using this night cream, my skin always feels like silk!

Step Four: Treat

Two-three times a week I do some sort of face mask. Currently my favorite is the Bioactive 8 Berry Fruit Enzyme Mask. This mask is a gentle exfoliator hat works to reveal a natural glow. The application process is fairly easy and rather than pull everything out of your skin like a clay mask would do, this mask focuses on rehydration.
